Past traveling or adventure bio-data of the clients is of great importance to access their suitability, adjust-ability and capability. Even a single, new and unsuitable client might bring misfortune to the entire team.
2. Age and Fitness
It is of great concern as all the adventure activities are based on mental and physical strengths. Age is one of the major factors on both types of strengths.
Check the weather forecast for the scheduled itinerary yourself and also ask the clients to check it again. Suggest and advise them accordingly to prepare for the weather conditions.
Recommend and suggest only the most needed gears to be carried; otherwise sometimes the clients carry all the stuffs they have or think to be essential, which eventually leads to transit havoc.

Give a option to carry their own sleeping bags and mats, the clients might complain about the hygiene and quality factors of the same you provide, and make a stock of those. Sometimes the clients might prefer to buy or hire from other supplying agencies on reaching the base and you might be end up with carrying the extra weights for no use. Wastage of money, time, energy and manpower.
6. Weight limit
Limit the weight maximum up to 3 kg per client that will be carried by your porters. Specify that above 3 kg of weight the client needs to hire individual porter for him/her.
Explain clearly the jobs and duties of the porters in common to the entire team. Many a times the clients ask the porters to do the works what they are to assigned to.
Educate with the fact that it will be stupidity asking for luxury stay and meal services during the itinerary.
Remind them that they are in control of their own physical and mental conditions during the period, not you. You can only guide, support and encourage.
If any kind of change is needed before the start, either from the clients’ or from your end, inform them immediately with the consequence changes, modifications, alterations or cut of services etc; that might come out.
If possible do not mix adventure and leisure in the same itinerary.
Offer what exactly you promise, not a single iota in excess or less.
13. Head above
During execution keep the head above your heart, otherwise you will end up with mess. But maintain your sensibility at the same time.
If it is a hired vehicle for transporting, then it is good to keep the same vehicle for the entire episode.
Most importantly give a proper presentation to the whole team how exactly you are going to execute the whole itinerary, about the unavoidable and uncomfortable circumstances that might arise, with the possible changes and even winding up of the itinerary etc;. Show them the alternate plans like Plan A, Plan B, if any. Clear any doubt of the clients before the execution.
